In a dramatic legal battle that highlights serious allegations of workplace misconduct, Katherine Henderson has filed a lawsuit against her former employer, Star Physical Therapy, Inc., in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana on May 1, 2025. The case revolves around accusations of sexual harassment and assault by a manager at the company, raising significant questions about workplace safety and corporate responsibility.

Henderson, a resident of Covington, Louisiana, alleges that she was subjected to severe sexual harassment and assault by Jeffrey Reeves, a manager at Star Physical Therapy's Covington clinic. According to the complaint, Reeves began making unwanted advances towards Henderson shortly after she was hired in October 2023. The alleged misconduct escalated to an incident on December 13, 2023, where Reeves is accused of sexually assaulting Henderson at work. "Reeves assaulted Henderson while she was performing her work duties," the complaint states. Henderson claims that these actions were part of a pattern of quid-pro-quo harassment where Reeves promised job benefits in exchange for sexual favors.

The lawsuit further accuses Star Physical Therapy of failing to maintain an effective anti-harassment policy or provide adequate training to prevent such incidents. Henderson asserts that despite reporting the assault to company leadership and their attorney shortly after it occurred, no disciplinary action was taken against Reeves. Instead, she was transferred to another location following legal intervention but ultimately terminated under what she claims were retaliatory circumstances after filing an EEOC charge.

Henderson seeks declaratory judgment against Star Physical Therapy along with compensatory damages for economic losses and emotional distress caused by the hostile work environment and subsequent wrongful termination. She also demands punitive damages and attorney’s fees as relief for the violations under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and Louisiana Employment Discrimination Law.

Represented by attorney Kevin S. Vogeltanz from The Law Office of Kevin S. Vogeltanz LLC, Katherine Henderson's case is pending before the court under Case ID 2:25-cv-852.
