GRETNA – A construction company is being sued by a subcontractor who claims it was not paid for work performed.
Interiors & Beyond Construction Group Inc. filed suit against Jefferson Construction Group Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on March 10.
Interiors & Beyond Construction Group Inc. alleges it entered into a settlement agreement with Jefferson Construction Group Inc. in 2008 in which Jefferson Construction Group Inc. would have to pay them $209,000 if the owner of a property it worked on together defaulted. The plaintiff asserts that since June 1, 2009 the property owner has been in default and that it is owed the amount previously agreed upon.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
Damages in the amount of $209,000 are sought by the plaintiff.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
