GRETNA – A fast food eatery is being sued by a woman who claims she was injured after slipping and falling in faded paint on wet pavement.
Nancy G. Church filed suit against Scottsdale Insurance Company, Max Foods Management Inc. and McDonald’s in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 8.
Church claims that on Jan. 13, 2013 she was at the McDonald’s located at 9601 Jefferson Highway in Jefferson when she slipped in a wet parking lot in an area where the paint was faded. The plaintiff alleges she received severe and disabling injuries in the incident.
The defendant is accused of failing to maintain a safe place for patrons, failing to take necessary measures to protect patrons, failing to inspect the premises, failing to warn patrons of the dangerous nature of the premises and failing to take steps to avoid the incident.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for physical pain and suffering, mental pain and suffering, medical expenses, loss of earnings, loss of enjoyment of life, permanent disability and loss of consortium.
