Daughter of deceased woman sued for more than $3K for allegedly past due condo fees

GRETNA – A local condo association is suing to recover $3,000 in unpaid fees from the daughter of a deceased resident.

The Tree Tops Townhouse Condominium Association Inc. filed suit against Sharay Rounds in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 16.

The Tree Tops Townhouse Condominium Association Inc. alleges Rounds’ mother, Sharon Crawford, was a resident at the Tree Tops Condominium located at 4089 Division St. in Metairie where she was required to pay condominium fees and assessments. The plaintiff asserts that at the time of her death Rounds’ mother owed $3,138 in fees. The Tree Tops Townhouse Condominium Association Inc. claims that no payment has been made on the amount allegedly owed.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $3,138 is sought by the plaintiff.

The Tree Tops Townhouse Condominium Association Inc. is represented by Clarence F. Favret III of New Orleans-based Favret & Lea LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Ross P. LaDart.
