Contractor sued by couple for allegedly incomplete, substandard work

Breach of contract

GRETNA – A couple is suing a contractor for alleged breach of contract over remediation and construction work performed at their home.

Keith and Kim Parsons filed suit against Pontchartrain Construction Services Inc. and Lloyd Moreland in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 18.

The Morelands assert they contracted with Pontchartrain Construction Services Inc. and Moreland to provide construction and remediation work on their home located at 181 Crislauer Ave. in Harahan. The plaintiffs allege they provided the defendants substantial amounts of money for the contracted work and that the work they received in exchange was substandard and deficient. The Morelands further claim Pontchartrain Construction Services Inc. and Moreland have failed to complete the contracted work or provide any refund.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for delayed and deficient work, delay damages, remediation costs, repair costs, completion costs and general damages.

The Morelands are represented by Joseph S. Piacun of Metairie-based Gennusa, Piacun & Ruli.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.

Case no. 740-464.
