GRETNA – A drilling company that alleges it was subcontracted for a construction project, but not fully paid, is suing the construction firm in charge of the project.

Lagreca Services Inc. filed suit against Gallo Mechanical LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on Feb. 24.

Lagreca Services Inc. contends that on April 8, 2014 it entered into a subcontract with Gallo Mechanical to perform drilling on the Perkins Rowe Chilled Water Loop project in Baton Rouge. The plaintiff asserts it performed a significant amount of work on the project, but the project’s completion was delayed through no fault of their own.

Lagreca Services Inc. claims it is owed $122,431.24 for the project, which Gallo Mechanical has refused to pay despite several demands.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract and failure to promptly pay.

Damages in the amount of $122,431.24 are sought by the plaintiff.

Lagreca Services Inc. is represented by H. Minor Pipes III of New Orleans-based Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.

Case no. 747-080.
