Delgado Community College sues student for past loans

NEW ORLEANS – Delgado Community College recently
sued a student who has allegedly failed to pay her student loans.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed suit against Brandi Gutter in the Orleans Parish District Court on April 8.

The plaintiff alleges Gutter is indebted in the amount of $1,149.20 for tuition and fees, plus attorney’s fees in the amount of 33.3 percent on the collective balance and interest and all cost of court.

The plaintiff contends that Brandi has not paid any of the money owed.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for student loans, stipends and benefits.

The plaintiff is represented by Rokeya J. Morris, Assistant Attorney General.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.

Case no. 2015-3253.
