McDonald’s sued by customer alleging injury in slip and fall on grease

GRETNA – A local fast food restaurant is being sued by a customer who claims he was injured after slipping and falling on grease on its sidewalk.

Fred Brister filed suit against Anthony Herques, Max Foods Management Inc. and McDonald’s in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 3.

Brister claims he was a customer at the McDonald’s located at 2700 Airline Blvd. in Metairie when he slipped on a patch of grease on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant’s entrance. The plaintiff alleges he was severely injured in the incident and continues to suffer from neck, arm and back pain.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering and medical expenses.

Brister is represented by attorney James A. Hatch of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.

Case no. 750-330.
