GRETNA – A trip of public riders are sung for injuries they allege to have received in a vehicular accident.
Tierra Coleman and Joshua Cannon, individually and as the natural tutrix of his child, filed suit against John Doe, an unknown insurer, an unknown driver, Transdev Services Inc. and Jefferson Parish Transit in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 12.
Coleman, Cannon and Cannon’s child allege they were passengers on a Jefferson Parish Transit bus that was traveling on Jean Lafitte Highway on July 11, 2014 when themes stopped abruptly and an unknown driver rear-ended it. The plaintiffs allege they suffered injuries in the incident and they claim the bus driver as well as the driver of the vehicle that ran into it share responsibly for the accident.
The defendants is accused of negligence.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for physical pain and suffering, medical expenses, mental anguish, emotional distress, loss of society, loss of enjoyment of life and loss of consortium.
The plaintiffs are represented by Kevin M. Steel of Gretna-based Law Offices of Kevin M. Steel LLC.
The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
