Company sued for allegedly failing to pay for, return rented digital projectors

GRETNA – An electronics leasing company is suing client who allegedly rented three digital projectors from them and failed to pay the rental fees or return the equipment.

Scrabble Ventures LLC filed suit against Sarojini Devi Enterprises LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 14.

Scrabble Ventures contends on May 18, 2014 they entered into a contract with Sarojini Devi Enterprises to lease them digital cinema equipment, including three Solaris One Plus Digital Project Systems, at a monthly rate per unit. The plaintiff asserts the defendant has failed to make payments on the outstanding balance and are in default. Scrabble Ventures claims on May 12, 2015 they sent a written demand to Sarojini Devi Enterprises and have not received the equipment back or the amount due for its rental.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for amount owed on an open account, contractual interest, collection costs and attorney’s fees.

Scrabble Ventures is represented by Matt Thomas of New Orleans-based Wolfe Law Group LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
