A Louisiana couple is suing a car dealer, alleging defects and negligent repairs to their new vehicle.
Richard W. Galey and Carolyn C. Galey filed a lawsuit Oct. 6 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Forest River Inc. and Dixie Motors, alleging negligent repairs to their 2015 Primetime Lacrosse.
According to the claim, on June 8, 2014, Richard Galey purchased the Lacrosse from Dixie Motors for $35,000 but the vehicle had several defects, causing issues of use and safety. The plaintiffs allowed the defendants several attempts to repair the vehicle, the suit says, but the repairs were not performed up to standards, and the issues are still present.
The Galeys seeks unspecified damages, rescinding of sale, litigation costs and other relief deemed appropriate by the court. They are represented by attorney Richard C. Dalton of Mandeville.
