Marine caterer says Dynamic Industries owes more than $2.6 million in breach of contract case

LAFAYETTE – A Florida company is suing Lafayette-based Dynamic Industries International, claiming it owes more than $2.6 million for meals and equipment.

JRP Offshore Logistics Inc. and Eastern Marine LTD filed a lawsuit Jan. 15 in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Lafayette Division, against Dynamic Industries International LLC, alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, under a master service agreement executed July 1, 2011, between the two parties, JRP provided meals for the crew aboard Dynamic’s barge Carolyn. To date, the suit says $1,862,720 is owed for food, whereas $799,100 remains outstanding for equipment from a contract issued October 17, 2011.

The plaintiffs seek a jury trial, recovery of the combined amount of $2,661,820, plus interest and litigation fees. They are represented by attorneys Richard T. Sahuc of Sahuc Law in Metairie and by Juan J. Rodriguez of Carey Rodriguez Milian Gonya LLC in Miami.
