NEW ORLEANS — A Louisiana man is suing Home Depot, alleging negligence caused him serious injuries.

Louis Davis filed a lawsuit April 11 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana New Orleans Division against Home Depot USA Inc. and Zurich American Insurance Company, alleging negligence in failing to properly train an employee how to operate a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 4, 2015, while Davis was in the parking lot of the Home Depot in Kenner, Louisiana, he was struck by a Ford F250 Super operated by Home Depot employee Maria L. Pisaneschi, causing him grave injuries.

The plaintiff alleges the employee failed to keep a lookout, failed to break, failed to maintain control of the vehicle and left the scene of the accident.

The suit says the plaintiff sustained physical and mental suffering and loss of wages

Davis seeks a trial by jury, compensation for all damages, legal interest, all legal costs and all other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Jonathan H. Adams of Koeppel LLC in New Orleans.
