Roubion Construction Co. claims clients failed to pay for services

Contract 06

GRETNA – A Louisiana construction corporation is seeking damages after it claims that a client failed to pay for a completed assignment.

Roubion Construction Co. Inc. filed a suit against Jhovanny Santamaria and Michelle Santamaria in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 26.

According to the claim, the defendants and plaintiff entered into an agreement on Feb. 17, 2012, in which Roubion Construction was retained to complete general contract services on the Santamaria’s Kenner property. Despite the promissory note of $30,000 that the defendants secured, the suit states that the defendants failed to pay the plaintiff for the completed services.

The defendant is accused of defaulting on a promissory note, breach of contract, unjust enrichment and open account in failing to pay the agreed upon sum.

The plaintiff is seeking general and equitable relief. It is represented by Bradley Egenberg of New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
