GRETNA – A Louisiana-based realty company seeks damages after an alleged breach of contract.

Latter & Blum Inc./Realtors filed a suit against West Centro LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 21.

According to the claim, the plaintiff and defendant entered into a contract for the rental of commercial property located at 2108 Franklin Ave. in Gretna on Aug. 8, 2013. On Oct. 2, 2013, the defendant leased the property at Franklin Avenue to Horizon River Restaurants LLC. However, the suit states that the defendant failed to make necessary commission payments, in addition to other payments, that were owed to the plaintiff. These costs purportedly are at the value of $4,104.00.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract through its failure to make the necessary payments

The plaintiff is seeking the commission payment, plus interest and court costs. It is represented by Jacob Kansas of Gretna. The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
