Woman seeks damages after alleged slip and fall at Outback Steakhouse

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman is seeking damages after she allegedly was caused to slip and fall on a slippery surface at Outback Steakhouse.

Jessica Lee filed a suit against Outback Steakhouse of Florida LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 18.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a patron at the Outback Steakhouse at 2746 Severn Ave. in Metairie, on Nov. 7, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall when she encountered an allegedly slippery and wet floor. The fall purportedly resulted in injuries to Lee's wrist, head, back and shoulders.

The defendant is accused of negligence in its failure to inspect the area, maintain the premises, place warning signs and provide reasonable care.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by A.J. Rebennack in Metairie. The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
