Man alleges he was injured in slip and fall at Best Buy

GRETNA – A man claims he was injured because of a rubber mat in an electronics store.

Bram Sanchez filed a suit against Best Buy Stores LP, Best Buy Co. Inc and XYZ Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 11.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a customer at the Best Buy at 1138 S. Clearview Parkway in Metairie on May 31, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that while in the store, the plaintiff encountered a rubber mat on the entrance, which caused him to slip and fall.

The defendants are accused of negligence through their failure to provide a clean and safe environment for their customers, as well as failure to warn the customers of the danger associated with the rubber mat.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by Robert P. Charbonnet Jr. James S. Rees and Richard D. Roniger of the Charbonnet Law Firm in Metairie. The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.
