Orleans Parish School Board sued over alleged breach of agreement

NEW ORLEANS — A woman is suing Orleans Parish School Board, school board, citing alleged breach of agreement.

Mary Allen filed a complaint on May 27, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against the defendants alleging that they failed to settle her claim for damages.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was not able to collect payment for her settlement. The plaintiff holds Orleans Parish School Board responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay their obligation int he amount of $125,000 in consideration for the dismissal of all claims against them.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks declaration that they breached their agreement with plaintiff and is indebted to her for the original agreed amount of $125,000, plus interest from date the original agreement was reached until the date this judgment is paid, plus all costs of this proceeding.
