GRETNA – A woman alleges she fell at a hospital and sustained injuries.
Patrina Franklin and Wilfred Franklin filed a suit against West Jefferson Medical Center and XYZ Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 20.
According to the claim, the plaintiff came to the West Jefferson Medical Center on March 20, 2013, complaining of dizziness and faintness. Though she was seen by several nurses and physicians, she alleges she was sent back to the waiting area without aid. The suit states that while making her way back to the waiting area, she fell.
The defendant is accused of breach of applicable standard of care through the failure to properly evaluate the condition of the plaintiff and overall negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. They are represented by John D. Silco and Casey W. Moll of New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
