NEW ORLEANS – A former employee of a New Orleans business alleges he was injured on the job.
Bryan Higgins filed a complaint on July 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Laborde Marine Management LLC alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he sustained severe shock and injury to his body while working with defendant's OSV Hilda Lab during his employment from June 15, 2013, to Aug. 31, 2013. Such injuries allegedly caused him to suffer agonizing aches, pains and mental anguish, and lost wages and benefits. The plaintiff holds Laborde Marine Management LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide a seaworthy vessel, failed to provide adequate safety equipment, failed to properly train its employees and failed to provide adequate medical treatment.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount as may be proper in the premises, for all costs and disbursements in this action, and for all general and equitable relief. He is represented by Alton J. Hall Jr. of Delise & Hall in Covington and Bobby J. Delise of Delise & Hall in New Orleans.
