NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking damages, claiming that a student failed to pay fees that were due.
The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Meonia A. Terrell in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 20.
According to the claim, the defendant was a student at the college in fall of 2013. The suit states that though the defendant received services from the plaintiff, the defendant maintained an open account for a sum of more than $900.
The defendant is accused of open account for failing to pay for the services received at the community college.
The plaintiff is seeking $903.08 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Wendy Ramnarine of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
