Discover Bank claims Jefferson Parish man owes on credit card

GRETNA – A man is being sued by Discover Bank for an alleged open account.

Discover Bank filed a suit against Gary M. Dubret in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 20.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant for his use, in which the defendant agreed to make payments of the balance of the card. The suit states that the defendant has maintained a balance of more than $2,900.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $2,934.09 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin, Benjamin G. Lambert, Sarena Y. Gaylor, Remy F. Symons, Elizabeth L. Hyman, Jeremy L. Nusloch, Randall C. Roth and Blake J. Guidry of Couch, Conville & Blitt in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.
