Discover Bank seeks alleged $10,300 debt restitution from card holder

GRETNA – Discover Bank has filed a claim against a credit card holder for her alleged debt of more than $10,300.

Discover Bank filed a suit against Marilynn P. Porter in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 20.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant for her use, with the agreement that the balance of the card would be paid off in a timely manner. The suit states, however, that the defendant has failed to pay off her balance of more than $10,300.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin, Benjamin G. Lambert, Sarena Y. Gaylor, Remy F. Symons, Elizabeth L. Hyman, Jeremy L. Nusloch, Randall C. Roth and Blake J. Guidry of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.
