NEW ORLEANS – A contractor is seeking damages for alleged breach of promissory note.

120 West Partners LLC filed a suit against David and Karen Washington in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 18.

According to the claim, the defendants entered into a shoring agreement with Patterson Structural Moving and Shoring LLC on Jan. 6, 2011, during which time they issued a promissory note towards the work that was to be completed for them. The rights, title and interest to the note was transferred from Patterson to the plaintiff in February 2013, the suit states. Despite agreeing to fully pay for the work done, the defendants allegedly have thus failed to do so and are indebted to the plaintiff for $30,000.

The defendants are accused of breach of promissory note through failing to pay as previously agreed.

The plaintiff is seeking $30,000 damages. The plaintiff is represented by Blake E. Oakes of the Oakes Law Firm in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
