Slip01

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages following an alleged slip and fall at a Dollar General.

Steshondia Stackhouse filed a suit against Dolgencorp LLC, doing business as Dollar General, and DG Louisiana LLC, doing business as Dollar General in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 25.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a customer at the Dollar General at 5700 Crowder Blvd. on Aug. 13, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on liquid that had been left on the floor. She alleges she was injured.

The defendants are accused of negligence through failing to clean the premises sufficiently, failing to warn customers of the danger present and failure to provide a safe environment for customers.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Edward J. Womac Jr. and Matthew Sutton of the Law Offices of Edward J. Womac Jr. & Associates in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
