GRETNA – A surgical center is seeking damages after a patient allegedly failed to pay.
Crescent City Surgical Centre Operating Co. LLC filed a suit against Stephanie Cheramie in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 29.
According to the claim, the plaintiff obtained medical services from the defendant in September 2014 and had previously agreed to pay for these services. The suit states that after incurring more than $40,000 in charges, however, the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of her account.
The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.
The plaintiff is seeking $40,835.69 in damages. It is represented by Jenna H. Linn of Bankston & Associates LLC in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
