GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages over claims that she was caused to trip and fall in a parking garage.
Stephanie Elewekil filed a suit against Lakeway Associates LLC and Lakeway Associates II LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 26.
According to the claim, was a business invitee of the defendant on July 27, 2015, the parking garage of Lakeway Two. The suit states that the plaintiff was injured when she was caused to trip and fall in the parking garage, injuring her neck and breaking two bones in her foot. She alleges the ramp's concrete had deteriorated and stones were exposed, which caused her to trip.
The defendants are accused of negligence through failure to provide a safe environment for visitors.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Al M. Thompson Jr. of Thompson, Gibbons & Westholz of New Orleans.
