Woman files claim against Sam Staub Enterprises for alleged breach of contract regarding property repairs

NEW ORLEANS – A homeowner is seeking damages, claiming breach of contract in work that was done on her property.

Karen Lagasse filed a suit against Sam Staub Enterprises Inc., Sam Staub and Scottsdale Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 3.

According to the claim, the plaintiff and defendant entered into a contract for repairs and renovations of a property located at 6754 General Diaz St. on March 19, 2015. The suit states that following the completion of the job, the plaintiff discovered numerous damages and issues with the work done.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract through failure to complete the work in the manner agreed upon in the contract.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Albert J. Nicaud and Jeffrey M. Siemssen of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Paula A. Brown

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-7744.
