Man seeks damages for alleged incomplete work

NEW ORLEANS – A man claims he paid a contractor who failed to deliver.

Larry Hubbard filed a suit against Henry Moore Jr. individually and doing business as Moore's Painting & Repairs in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 2.

According to the claim, the plaintiff contracted the defendant for a job. The suit states that though the plaintiff made timely payments for the completion of the work, the defendant failed to complete the work as outlined in their agreement.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract, fraud and conversion, unfair trade practices and for failing to complete the work, despite being paid to do so.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Timothy D. DePaula and Tarryn E. Walsh of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
