NEW ORLEANS – A man claims that he was not paid was he was promised.
Jacques Villaume filed a suit against Hammelmann Corp. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 1.
According to the claim, the plaintiff was told in a verbal agreement that he would be paid 10 percent of the value of each sale that he completed for the defendant. The suit states that despite the agreement, the plaintiff has not been paid what he was promised.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by James Peltier of Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
