Dollar General in Harvey allegedly failed to keep the floor dry, customer was injured

GRETNA – A woman claims she slipped and fell after entering a Dollar General store due to wet floors from the rain.

Doris Gordon filed a suit against Dolgencorp LLC, doing business as Dollar General, in the 24th Judicial District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a customer at the defendant's store on March 11, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff slipped and fell on the wet floor when she entered the store located at 2101 Lapalco Blvd. in Harvey.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to provide a safe venue for guests, failing to clean up the premises and overall negligence with relation to the case.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by George B. Recile and Barry Sartin Jr.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
