GRETNA – Two Kenner individuals are alleged to have an outstanding student loan.
The National Collegiate Student Loan Trust 2007-1 filed a suit against Everardo G. Garza and Hermelinda Garza in the 24th Judicial District Court on Sept. 22.
According to the claim, the defendants are joint holders of a loan from the plaintiff for an amount of more than $36,000. The suit states that despite amicable demands, the defendants have failed to pay back the balance that they owe.
The defendants are accused of open account against the plaintiff.
The plaintiff is seeking $36,748.56 plus $3,578.63 in damages. It is represented by Sean McAllister, Gregory M. Eaton and J. Marron Monsour of Eaton Group Attorneys in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
