Jones Walker alleges former California client did not pay for legal services

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans law firm alleges it is owed more than $255,000 from a California company.

Jones Walker LLP filed a suit against Worthington Energy Inc. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff delivered legal services to the defendant from 2012 to 2015, the suit states. The defendant allegedly failed to make payment to the plaintiff for the services.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $255,963.03 in damages. It is represented by Joseph C. Davis and R. Patrick Vance of Jones Walker LLP

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
