VW Credit Leasing LTD claims Audi's lease was not paid

NEW ORLEANS – A leasing company is seeking damages over claims that customers failed to pay off a lease for an Audi.

VW Credit Leasing LTD filed a suit against Pit Stop Automotive LLC and Shawn Berger in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 19.

According to the claim, the plaintiff leased an Audi Q7 to the defendants in June 2014. The suit states that the defendants have maintained an open account through failing to pay for the leased vehicle in a timely manner. The plaintiff elected to terminate the leased and notified the defendants as such, but alleges the defendants have failed to surrender the vehicle.

The defendants are accused of an open account for more than $50,000.

The plaintiff is seeking $51,842.85 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by G. Thomas Arbour in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
