NEW ORLEANS – Two individuals claim that they were injured and falsely imprisoned by security guards at a New Orleans business.
Brandon Gavin and Kakeia Williams filed a suit against ABC insurance company and Deja Vu Showgirls of New Orleans in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.
According to the claim, the plaintiffs were guests at the defendant's 228 Bourbon St. location on March 22, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiffs were asked to leave when the entered the venue, so they patronized other bars on Bourbon Street. They allege the defendant's security guards attacked them while they were walking on the street and falsely imprisoned them, injuring them in the process.
The defendants are accused of negligence.
The plaintiffs are seeking an unspecified amount in damages. They are represented by Jason F. Giles, Justin Reese, Brian King and Anthony J. Milazzo III of the King Law Firm in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
