Capital One Bank is seeking more than $5,000 in allegedly unpaid charges

GRETNA – Capital One Bank is seeking damages for an allegedly open account.

Capital One Bank filed a suit against Matthew M. Ellefson in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 6.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant, which the defendant used to accumulate more than $5,000 in charges. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff what is owed.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $5,496.75 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin, Benjamin G. Lamber, Sarena Y. Gaylor, Remy F. Symons, Elizabeth L. Hyman, Jeremy L. Nusloch and Randall C. Roth of Couch, Conville & Blitt in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
