Wyndham Hotels and Resorts guest alleges she was injured after slipping on water in room

NEW ORLEANS – A Texas woman claims that the shower in her hotel room caused her to slip and fall.

Dondra Horn filed a suit against Wyndham Hotels and Resorts LLC, Chubb & Son, Federal Insurance Co., Gallagher Bassett Services Inc. & Felcore Lodging Trust Inc. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was caused personal injury on Feb. 23, 2015, when she was at the Wyndham Resort located at 124 Royal St. The suit states that the plaintiff was injured when she slipped and fell in the water that was spraying out of her room's shower.

The defendants are accused of negligence through failing to properly maintain the rooms.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Morgan E. Levy of McGlynn, Glisson & Mouton of Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
