Man alleges landlord has not responded to complaints about property's condition

NEW ORLEANS – A renter claims that his complaints about allegedly dangerous lodging were ignored.

Wayne Gordon filed a suit against Patrick Foley, 5800 Durbridge LLC, XYZ insurance company, et al in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is renting a property at 2417 Gravier St. and alleges he informed the landlord, Foley, that a wall outlet was emitting a mold-like substance to no response. He alleges he sent three complaints to Foley about the situation but did not receive a response.

The defendants are accused of denial of equal protection, breach of duty of care and other counts.

The plaintiff is seeking monetary damages. He is representing himself.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
