Woman alleges negligence caused fall while aboard Creole Queen

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she was caused to fall on a ship due to the owners' negligence.

Diane Bower filed a suit against New Orleans Paddlewheels Inc., Hospitality Enterprises Inc. and State National Insurance Co. Inc. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a guest on vessel the Creole Queen on March 6, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused injury when exiting the boat as her foot became caught on a pole, causing her to fall.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Anthony J. Milazzo Jr. and Charles V. Giordano of Hebbler & Giordano LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
