NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that her fall was the fault of decor in a hotel restaurant.

Nancy Furlow filed a suit against Windsor Court Hotel Partners LLC and Zurich American Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 6.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the Windsor Court Hotel restaurant on Dec. 14, 2015, when the incident took place. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to fall and injure herself when she was unable to use the banisters for support because of holiday decor.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Frank D. Ippolito of Chalmette.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
