NEW ORLEANS – A Baton Rouge woman alleges she was falsely arrested.

Eleanor G. Collins filed a complaint on Sept. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against the state of Louisiana, Washington Parish, Robertson Oil Co., et al. alleging that they violated the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Eighth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was falsely arrested as a fugitive for worthless checks totaling $27,000 in 2014. The suit states that the warrant was issued in November 2014 and executed on Jan. 22.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, jointly, severally and in solido, for all damages that are reasonable, plus interest and costs for the proceeding. She is representing herself.
