Man alleges ex-wife took out loan in his name without permission

GRETNA – A man claims his ex-wife and another bank employee she had a relationship with took out a loan in his name without permission.

Scott J. Hoerner filed a suit against Iberia Bank, Dixie Lefort Hoerner and Randall Doucet in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 14.

According to the claim, Lefort and Hoerner were previously married and divorced in September 2015. He alleges he received notices of a loan from Iberia Bank but had not filled out a loan application. The suit states that the defendants took out the loan and that Doucet forged the plaintiff's signature on the document. Doucet are Lefort are employees of Iberia Bank, the suit states.

The defendants are accused of breach of fiduciary duty, unfair trade practices and fraud.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Richard T. Gallagher Jr. of Gallagher, Westholz and Potter in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
