Little Caesars employee alleges co-worker attacked her

GRETNA – A woman claims that she was attacked by a co-worker and terminated.

Amanda Bentel filed a suit against JMAC Restaurant Group LP and Danjana Johnson in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 14.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was employed by the defendant on Sept. 24 as a cashier at its Little Caesars pizza restaurant when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was attacked by Johnson and was caused to suffer physical injuries as a result. The suit also states that prior to the attack, the plaintiff had been threatened by Johnson. Following her attack, the plaintiff alleges was fired from her employment on Sept. 30.

JMAC Restaurant Group is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Dayal S. Reddy of Gardner and Steib in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
