The Arts Apartments at West Napoleon tenant alleges she was injured by neighbor's dogs

GRETNA – A woman claims that she was injured by two dogs outside of her apartment complex.

Ruby Gamez filed a suit against The Arts Apartments at West Napoleon LLC, Jennifer Chavez, ABC insurance company and DEF insurance company in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 18.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was outside of her apartment, which was owned by The Arts Apartments at West Napolean LLC, on Feb. 5 when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was attacked by two dogs that were owned by Chavez and that she required medical treatment after the incident.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by J. Patrick Connick of Marrero.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
