NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that her leg snapped while riding a streetcar.

Patricia Anderson filed a suit against New Orleans Regional Transit Authority, Transdev Services Inc. and ABC Insurance Company in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 29.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a passenger on the St. Charles streetcar on Nov. 1, 2015 when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was attempting to exit the streetcar when her right foot became caught and she fell. The suit states that the plaintiff's leg snapped and that the reason for her fall had been a loose rug that caught her foot.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Joseph B. Landry.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
