A couple claims that the wife's photo was used without her permission

NEW ORLEANS – A couple is seeking damages after the wife's photo was used without her permission.

Jay Panks and Jennifer Panks filed a suit against Meet Me Inc., doing business as meetme.com, in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on March 14.

According to the claim, the plaintiff states that Jennifer's photo was allegedly used by the defendant without her permission as an advertisement. The suit states that the use of the woman's photo on the site without her knowledge caused her husband anger and suspicion.

The defendant is accused of defamation through using the photo without the individual's express allowance.

The plaintiffs are seeking an unspecified amount in damages. They are represented by Patrick G. Kehoe Jr.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-2591.
