Man claims he struck head on pavement after Deja Vu employee tackled him

NEW ORLEANS – A man claims that he was injured by the actions of an employee of a New Orleans establishment.

Andrew Severino filed a suit against Crescent City Deja Vu LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was trying to enter Deja Vu on April 10 when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was denied entry and that an employee of the defendant struck the plaintiff. When the plaintiff called the police, the defendant's employee allegedly tackled the plaintiff and caused him to fall to the pavement, causing a head injury. The plaintiff alleges he was in intensive care for several days because of the incident.

The defendant is accused of battery and negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by William J. Jung III and Robert J. Diliberto of Diliberto & Kirin in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division Judge
