NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that a reckless driver struck her car, home and fled the scene.
Allstate Insurance Company and Sherrye Smith filed a suit against Percell James Matthew in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on May 4.
According to the claim, the plaintiff was the owner of the address at 3400/3402 Republic St. and the owner of a 2006 Mercury vehicle. The suit states that the defendant struck the plaintiff's car and then struck the residency of the plaintiff in May 2015. Following the accident, the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene.
The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to control the motor vehicle and overall negligence in relation to the case.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bonita Preutt-Armour, Tinashe Eugene Chimwaza, Donna M. Johnson and Heather D. Sutton.
The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
