Construction business alleges oil platform owners owe more than $900,000

LAFAYETTE — A Louisiana construction service provider is suing an oil platform owner, alleging it owes more than $900,000. 

Diamond Services Corporation filed a lawsuit Oct. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana against McMoran Oil & Gas LLC and Freeport-McMoran Oils & Gas LLC, alleging failure to to comply with their open account agreement.

According to the complaint, Diamond Services provided valuable services to defendants on an open account agreement but has suffered monetary damages for not collecting the sum of $924,356.05, plus legal interest. 

The plaintiff alleges that despite amicable demands, the defendants have failed and refuse to pay the outstanding balance due.

Diamond Services seeks trial by jury, judgment in the principal sum of $924,356.05, plus interest, attorney fees and all court costs. It is represented by attorneys Allen A. McElroy, Jr. and Robert L. Duffy of McElroy & Duffy APLC in Berwick.
