The University of Louisiana at Lafayette alleges student did not pay fees

GRETNA – The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is seeking damages for an allegedly open account.

University of Louisiana board of supervisors through University of Louisiana at Lafayette filed a suit against Kavant'e M. Moore in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 24.

According to the claim, the defendant executed and submitted a resident housing and meal contract in June 2013. The suit states that the defendant has maintained an open account of more than $1,000.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $1,079.20 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
